Limits & Quotas
To keep the platform running smoothly, different plans have different limits on the number of artists you can manage, storage space, and release frequency. This guide explains how these limits work.
Credits are tracked separately from plan limits. Your organization's credit wallet pays for metered features such as Video Studio exports. See Credits & Billing for details.
How Limits are Calculated
Your account limits (like storage, artists, release frequency, and revenue splits) are determined by your current subscription or any custom agreements you have with us. We check these in the following order to make sure you get the best possible terms:
- Custom Contract: If your account has a custom agreement with us, those specific limits apply first.
- Standard Plan Contract: If your current plan includes a standard contract, those limits are used.
- Plan Defaults: If no specific contracts apply, the default limits for your subscription plan are used.
- Platform Baseline: A standard baseline applies if none of the above are set.
Artist Quotas
When you create a new release or add a new artist, the system checks your current plan limits.
Primary Artist Limit
- How it's counted: The total number of unique Primary Artists in your account (excluding artists on drafts or taken-down releases).
- Enforcement: If you try to add more primary artists than your plan allows, you will need to upgrade your plan to continue.
Featured Artist Limit
- How it's counted: The total number of unique Featured Artists across all your releases.
- Enforcement: If you reach your plan's featured artist limit, you can purchase an add-on (e.g., ₹50) to unlock an additional featured artist slot for life.
Note: Artist uniqueness is based on the exact match of their Stage Name.
Storage Space Quotas
Label Partner Accounts (Pro/VIP)
- Your storage is calculated based on the total size of all audio files and artwork in your library.
- Enforcement: If your uploads exceed your plan's storage limit, you won't be able to upload new files. You will see a prompt to either delete old/unused files or purchase an additional 5GB storage add-on.
Independent Artist Accounts (Standard/Free)
- You have unlimited storage capacity for your releases!
- Library Cleanup: To provide unlimited storage, our automated library cleanup system will permanently delete any uploaded files that have not been attached to a submitted release within 30 days.
Release Frequency Limits (Standard Accounts Only)
Depending on your plan, there is a limit to how many releases you can submit per month.
- Free Plan: 1 release per month.
- Pro Plan: 2 releases per month.
- VIP Plan: Unlimited releases.
- Enforcement: If you reach your monthly limit, you will need to wait until the next calendar month or upgrade your plan to submit more releases.
Downgrades & Expired Subscriptions
If your paid subscription expires or you choose to downgrade:
- Plan Reversion: Your account will automatically revert to the Free Plan.
- Team Members: If your team exceeds the Free Plan limit (1 Owner), access for the most recently added team members will be paused until you upgrade again.
- Artists: If you have more artists than the Free Plan allows, the most recently added artists will be locked from being added to new releases. Existing releases already in stores will remain unaffected.
