Credits & Billing

Credits belong to your organization, not to individual users. Anyone working inside the same organization sees and spends from the same credit balance.

Where to See Your Credits

Your current credit balance appears in the dashboard header. You can also open Settings > Organization to see the balance and recent credit activity.

The activity table shows:

EntryMeaning
Manual top-upCredits added by DopplerTown staff or an administrator
Video exportCredits spent when a Video Studio export starts
Link page creationCredits spent when an artist Link Page is created
Link page linkCredits spent when a new link slot is unlocked on a Link Page

How Credits Are Added

Credits are added by staff/admin top-up. A top-up only adds credits to the wallet; it does not replace the existing balance.

For example, if your organization has 5 credits and staff adds 20 credits, the new balance is 25 credits. The top-up appears in the ledger as a Manual top-up.

How Credits Are Spent

Credits are charged when a paid feature is used.

FeatureHow it is charged
Video Studio exportPer output
Link Page creationPer artist page (one-time)
Link Page link slotPer new slot (removing a link keeps its slot — replacements are free)

The exact credit cost of each feature is set by platform administrators and can change over time. The app always shows the current cost and your balance before anything is charged. See Artist Link Pages for how link slots work.

Feature charges are shown before the action starts whenever possible. If your organization does not have enough credits, the action is blocked until credits are added.

Video Studio Exports

Creating, opening, editing, and saving Video Studio projects is free. Credits are charged only when you start an export.

The export dialog shows the number of credits that will be consumed before charging. For projects with Asset Groups, each selected group member creates a separate output and is charged separately. If no Asset Group members are selected, the export is charged as one output.

Ephemeral projects are also charged on export. Even if the project is local-only and not saved as a draft, the export still uses your organization's credit wallet.

Storage Is Separate

Credits and storage are separate systems:

ActionCredit impactStorage impact
Create or save a Video Studio projectNo credit chargeSaved projects count as VIDEO_PROJECT assets
Export and download onlyCredits chargedNo library storage impact
Export and save to libraryCredits chargedRendered videos count as VIDEO assets

If an Export Fails

Credits are charged before browser rendering begins. Keep the export tab open until the queue finishes. If you cancel the export or your browser stops the render after credits are charged, there is currently no automatic refund flow.
