Reviewing Submissions (The Queue)

Target Audience: Distributors & Platform Administrators

Overview

The Queue is where all new releases land after an artist or label submits them. As an administrator, this is where you will review the music, artwork, and release details to ensure everything meets quality standards before sending it off to streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.

The Review Process

1. Initial Review (Pending Releases)

When a release is submitted, it enters your review queue.

• Approve: You review the track details, audio files, and cover art. If everything is correct and meets store guidelines, you approve it.
  • What happens: This triggers the system to automatically package the files for delivery to the stores.
  • What the user sees: The artist's dashboard will simply show "Pending Review" to keep things clear while the technical delivery happens behind the scenes.
• Reject: If you find issues (like blurry artwork or incorrect artist names), you can reject the release.
  • What happens: You will provide a reason for the rejection, and the release will be sent back to the artist so they can fix the issues.

2. Final Confirmation (Awaiting Live Status)

After the release has been approved and delivered to the stores, you wait for the stores to process it.

• Final Approval: Once the stores confirm they have received and processed the release, you can input the final "Pre-save" link.
  • What happens: The release is now locked in. Our automated system will automatically switch its status to "Live" when the release date finally arrives.
• Late Rejection: If a store flags an issue after delivery, you can still reject the release at this stage, sending it back to the artist to fix.

What Happens to the Files? (File Protection)

To prevent accidental errors, the system safely secures audio and image files when a release is submitted.

• While Pending: The artist cannot delete, rename, or modify the audio or cover art while the release is being reviewed.
• If Rejected: If you reject the release, the files are unlocked so the artist can replace or fix them, unless those same files are currently being used in another live release.
