Asset Library: Managing Uploads

The Asset Library is your personal hub for uploading, organizing, and managing all your audio files and cover art.

How Uploads Work

  1. Initial Checks:
    • File Size: The maximum file size allowed is 100MB per file.
    • Space Availability: For Label accounts, we'll quickly check that you have enough storage space left in your plan. Independent Artists enjoy unlimited storage capacity!
  2. Quality Check:
    • Audio: We want your music to sound incredible on streaming platforms, so we require high-quality WAV or FLAC files. We'll automatically verify that your file matches professional studio standards (16-bit or 24-bit depth, 44.1kHz or 48kHz sample rate) and check the exact song duration.
    • Images: Your cover art needs to look sharp everywhere! We require a perfect square image (1:1 ratio), at least 3000x3000px, using standard RGB colors.
  3. Processing:
    • Once uploaded, your files are securely saved to our fast distribution servers. All newly uploaded files start out as "Unprotected", meaning you can freely edit or delete them if you made a mistake.
  4. Cleanup Timers:
    • Depending on your account type, unused files might have an expiration date. If they sit in your library without being added to a release for too long, our automated cleanup process will safely remove them to free up space.

Managing Your Files

Once a file is in your library, you can easily:

  • Download: Grab a copy of your audio or artwork at any time.
  • Rename: Change the title of the file in your library, as long as it hasn't been protected by an active release.
  • Delete: Remove files you no longer need. (Files attached to active releases are protected and cannot be deleted).
  • Manage Versions: If you upload a remastered version of a song, you can set the newest file as the primary version for your future releases.
